For the last 5 years I have also offered Shiatsu treatments. Shiatsu is interesting for people who would like to be treated "dry" ,without oils, and comfortably dressed on the mat on the floor, or on a special massage chair.
While the treatment recipients are completely passive and conveniently resting in various positions, the practitioner presses skillfuly and gently, with his fingers or his whole hand, on specific areas of the body in order to relieve tension or pain and enhance the energy flow inside the meridians. This can also be achieved by performing different stretching patterns where the recipient remains again completely passiv.
Another way to do Shiatsu treatments, also for mobile use outside of my practicing space, offers the work with the massage chair. Here too, the recipient remains dressed, and the practitioner applies different pressure techniques and strechting patterns on the passively, comfortably resting recipient.
